Marketing Generalist

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 (DOE)
Location: Remote (U.S.-based preferred)
Type: Full-time

About the Role

We’re looking for a Marketing Generalist to join our growing agency team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who truly understands marketing—not just execution, but how marketing supports lead generation, pipeline, and business growth.

You’ll work across a diverse mix of B2C and B2B clients in industries including senior living, technology, automotive, construction, and more. This role is ideal for someone who can connect strategy to execution, take ownership, and move quickly without needing constant direction.

As the agency continues to grow, this role offers meaningful responsibility, visibility, and room to advance.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage marketing initiatives across multiple client accounts with a focus on lead generation and growth
  • Identify and support lead generation opportunities, including:
    • Email campaigns and nurture sequences
    • Paid media support
    • Website conversion improvements
    • Forms, landing pages, and CTAs
  • Coordinate and manage work from a content writer, designer, and developer
  • Lead and participate in client calls, providing updates, insights, and recommendations
  • Support website redesigns and ongoing site updates, ensuring websites:
    • Serve clear business goals
    • Drive conversions and lead capture
  • Work within HubSpot (or similar platforms) to:
    • Set up and manage lists, segments, workflows, forms, and campaigns
    • Support CRM setup, organization, and best practices
  • Build and manage email campaigns and marketing automations
  • Assist with Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Ads, including basic setup, monitoring, and performance review
  • Apply SEO fundamentals to improve visibility and inbound lead generation
  • Review and interpret performance reporting across email, ads, websites, and lead flow
  • Manage projects and timelines using Asana and other project management tools
  • Leverage ChatGPT and AI tools to improve efficiency in research, planning, writing, and execution
  • Maintain brand consistency across all deliverables, collaborating closely with designers
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve results, workflows, and client experience

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–6 years of marketing experience (agency experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of how marketing drives leads, pipeline, and business growth
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot or a comparable CRM/marketing automation platform
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Email marketing and automation
    • Lead generation strategy and execution
    • Website fundamentals and conversion optimization
    • SEO basics
    • Google Ads and Meta Ads (basic to intermediate)
  • Comfortable managing multiple clients and priorities
  • Experience coordinating creatives and developers
  • Confident communicator on client calls
  • Organized, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Quick learner who doesn’t require heavy hand-holding
  • Willing to take initiative and grow with the agency

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Experience setting up or organizing HubSpot portals from scratch
  • Experience developing or improving lead generation funnels
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills (reporting, formulas, data organization)
  • Technical curiosity, including:
    • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
    • Comfort reviewing or making light code edits
    • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with developers
  • Eye for design and strong brand awareness
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Looker Studio, or marketing dashboards
  • Experience across both B2C and B2B environments

How We Work & Benefits

  • Flexible work environment — we trust you to manage your time
  • We understand life happens. Appointments, school pickups, errands, and personal time are all okay
  • We’re not the type of agency that watches the clock or blocks you from stepping away during the day
  • What matters is:
    • Work gets done
    • Deadlines are met
    • Clients are supported
    • Projects continue moving forward
  • Fully remote team with collaborators across multiple time zones
  • Content writers, designers, and developers are international
    • Central or East Coast candidates are preferred to allow overlap with our UK-based designer
    • Alternatively, candidates willing to start earlier in the day to support time zone overlap are welcome

Why This Role Is Exciting

  • Work across a wide variety of industries and business models
  • Opportunity to influence strategy—not just execute tasks
  • Real impact on client growth and lead generation
  • A growing agency environment with room for advancement
  • Autonomy, trust, and the ability to make recommendations that matter
